SACRAMENTO — Governor Brown continues to press for transition to a weighted, per-pupil funding system, reductions in deferrals, and additional flexibility for school districts and charter schools in his proposals for the state’s 2012-13 budget. The Governor released a summary of his budget proposals today in Sacramento, with additional details to trickle out over the next several days. This article provides a preliminary summary of what CSDC has learned thus far and we’ll provide a more detailed write-up in the near future.
