Seeking Current Service Members and Veterans to be Honored by CSDC

Are you an active duty member of the U.S. Military or U.S. Military Veteran who also works at a California charter school?

Or is there a Veteran or current service member currently working or volunteering in your charter organization?

CSDC will honor the contributions of our service members before the state’s charter school leadership this fall at the 2023 CSDC Conference taking place November 8-10 in Anaheim, California.

With this year's conference coinciding with Veterans Day, CSDC will mark the occasion by opening the plenary session with a meaningful tribute.

The tribute will honor the contributions and sacrifices made by our veterans and hold up the values of public service and community involvement that are the pillars of the California charter schools movement.

CSDC will feature a brief multimedia presentation including pictures of veterans during the course of their military service as well as in their charter schools.

How to Participate

To participate, we invite service members to share:

  • a photo of the individual while in the services
  • a photo of the individual at the California charter school where they volunteer or are employed

Deadline: The deadline to participate is September 30, 2023.

NOTE: The individual being honored need not attend the conference to be included in the tribute.

Watch the Tribute

In addition to showing the tribute during the conference plenary on November 10, CSDC will also share the presentation on its social media accounts so that your charter organization can repost and ensure the tribute is seen by friends, family members, and colleagues.

Know Any Veterans?

Not a veteran or service member yourself but know someone in the charter sector who is? Please share this with them so that we can include as many of the movement’s veterans as possible.

We hope you will consider participating in this important tribute to public service.
