Please join us for a special convening of CSDC’s Nonclassroom-Based Professional Learning Community. Given the large number of pressing issues related specifically to nonclassroom-based schools, we’re hoping to expand the circle of this small, but dedicated network and hope other leaders of “out-of-the-box” schools will join us.

CSDC’s Eric Premack will provide updates on several key topics that seem to be top of mind for nonclassroom-based schools, including at least the following:

  • The current cap on growth funding for nonclassroom-based schools and prospects for growth funding in the upcoming school year,
  • Recent developments in the litigation challenging the current growth funding cap,
  • Guilty pleas recently entered by leaders of the “A3” charter school network and lessons learned from their fraudulent activities,
  • Pending legislation regarding nonclassroom-based schools, including two bills specific to nonclassroom-based charter schools,
  • COVID-19 relief funding and expenditure issues unique to nonclassroom-based schools, and
  • Post-pandemic prospects for “out-of-the-box” instruction in chartered and district-run schools.

We will have time for dialogue and discussion following the update presentation.

This webinar is free to chartered schools and authorizers and is not available to vendors.
