Requirements for Credit: 1-3 units

Earn graduate-level credit upon completion of workshops, conference, or any other course training provided by CSDC. You may register to earn up to 3 graduate-level credits for this practicum course option. You will be required to include a certificate of completion to verify your participation with CSDC. Upon registering for your course(s), you will receive an email including detailed information about your practicum assignments. There are only two additional practicum assignments (see below) required for you to complete after registration.

Brief Overview of Practicum Assignments

  1. Type a 3-Page Reflection Paper: Outlining and reviewing your professional development upon completion of a CSDC course, training, or workshop.
  2. Create a Time Log: Document 15 hours per credit on your time log. Depending on how many credits you select to earn will determine how many hours should be reflected in your log. You may include the time you spend conducting meetings, assignments, and activities, or projects associated with the training that you complete. Creating your own log gives you the freedom of documenting all the time and effort you have dedicated to completing your coursework requirements, inclusive of training time. Your log must be specific and include dates and accomplishments. All your coursework participation must be away from professionally paid hours. Whether you spend time brainstorming new ideas, working on calendaring, budget plans, researching, reading, typing reports, reviewing CSDC materials/resources, or composing notes at the training, you are able to document all the professional time that you have invested enhancing your professional growth. You may also backdate your log to include previously developed training components or activities.
