Charter Currents: Legislature Recesses After Approving More Anti-Charter Bills

The California Legislature ended the first year of its two-year legislative cycle last week, perhaps appropriately on Friday the thirteenth, after approving numerous bills that severely undermine charter schools’ interests, especially AB 1505 and AB 1507. The Legislature also approved various other troubling measures, a few of which Governor Newsom has already signed, and several which are pending his review.
