2017 CA Charter Schools Conference: Presentation Proposal Deadline Extended Until June 30
Published June 21, 2017 12:04
If you had intended to submit a proposal to present at the 2017 California Charter Schools Leadership Update Conference but were especially busy closing out the school year, we have extended the call for presentations until Friday, June 30.
You’ll support fellow California charter school leaders.
Sharing with school leaders from across the state can quickly multiply the impact of an effective practice. If your school is doing something especially well or innovative, we encourage you to support fellow California school leaders by sharing your successful instructional or operational ideas and strategies.
You’ll gain experience presenting at a major education conference.
With over 1,000 people registered for last year's event, the California Charter Schools Leadership Update Conference has become a major annual destination for charter school administrators, board members, authorizers, developers, and vendors. Presenting at this event will give you a great item to add to your résumé or LinkedIn profile, which you can then reference when submitting other presentation proposals or when seeking new career opportunities.
You’ll receive a significant discount on your conference registration fee.
If your presentation proposal is selected, you will receive access to a special presenter registration rate of $325—significantly less than the non-member regular registration rate of $579. Plus, as a conference registrant, you will also have access to CSDC's discounted room block (subject to availability), which yields a number of additional benefits.
Types of Presentations
There are two different presentation formats for which CSDC is seeking proposals:
These 75-minute sessions are designed to provide attendees not only with key concepts, but also sufficient time for some hands-on activities so that session attendees can really understand the material presented.
These 4-hour long workshops allow presenters to go into significant depth about a topic and typically provide multiple hands-on exercises and tools for attendees. Workshops are typically conducted by people who are widely recognized as experts on the topic.
Submit Your Proposal
The presentation proposal deadline has been extended from Tuesday, June 20, 2017 to Friday, June 30, 2017.
After the deadline, CSDC will review all proposals received and will notify applicants within 3-4 weeks.
