The Charter School Leadership Institute is a nationally renowned leadership training opportunity for California charter school leaders. This intensive, multi-day "boot camp" is designed to ensure that charter school leaders have the technical and organizational skills necessary to effectively lead their schools. The Institute is organized by the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC), a non-profit resource center that provides experienced and expert technical assistance, training, and resources to California charter school developers, operators, charter-granting agencies, and policymakers.

The registration fee for the 2010 Leadership Intensive is $675.00. This fee covers registration, meals, six days of presentations, workshop materials and five nights of double occupancy lodging at the Granlibakken Conference Center. Participants are expected to pay the costs of their own travel to and from the conference, as well as incidentals.
This fee represents a fraction of the Institute's actual cost. Much of the Institute is underwritten by generous philanthropic support.

The Institute is designed for and targeted at new and experienced California charter school principals and other school leaders who have direct responsibility for overseeing and managing a broad range of responsibilities at their schools. The Institute is not appropriate for charter school developers whose charters have not yet been approved. Preference will be given to those applicants whose needs most closely align with the mission and goals of the Institute, as well as to those schools serving less advantaged student populations.
